My apron making marathon is over. These are the ones I'm keeping for myself. I learned a lot making them and it was so fun!

Time to make Christmas bags!
Time for Christmas! I'm full of Christmas cheer this year and I'm going to wear it on my shoulder. I made this Christmas bag yesterday and will be taking orders for them.
The front flap has this pretty wreath and a snap closure
I fussy cut stockings for the back.
Bag two has a large ornament on the flap.
I fussy cut these ornaments for the back and quilted the bag in a small grid.
I wish I had a better picture of the interior fabric. Its really pretty green with a gold design.

How I spent my weekend.
I have been taking a lot of trips with my friends and I have long hated my cosmetics bag. Its from the early 90s. It's ugly and hard, the mirror falls out (and I never used it anyway), and you cant wash the darn thing. So this weekend when we spent the weekend together I spent most of my time making a new bag for all my toiletries.
It's long and low like a duffle bag with a large wrap around flap closure with a magnetic snap.
It has a wide owl eyes strap.
Between the inside and out I put in 13 pockets. It holds EVERYTHING I need with space left over inside for my makeup bag and laundry bag.
I quilted all the outside pieces. That was quite a job!
There are just a couple things I would change if I made another one but over all, considering I had no pattern to work from, I'm so happy with it. I think I will make a duffle bag and make up bag to match.

Can't beat this stuff at .05 per load.
I made laundry soap today. I make it a a couple times a year. It works great and I really like it but I've always wanted to do the math to see how much it really saves me. Like to hear it.....here it goes.
Ok here is what I used: 17.5 Gallons of water (who knows what they charge me for that stuff)
7 bars of Fels Naptha soap (6.00)
5 1/4 cups of 20 Mule Team Borax (about 4.00)
5 1/4 cups of Washing Soda (about 3.00)
14 tablespoons of Glycerine (about 15.00)
I got 7 batches done 2 hours worth of hot, messy, work
Here is what I got: About 18 gallons of laundry soap for 28.00
1.55 per gallon
32 loads per gallon = 576 loads at just under .05 cents per load

OK Aquarium Page
I made this page for an SSD sketch contest. Someone actually bought it right off the wall. I love all the little Cricut cuts.
Sorry about the terrible glare. I'm not sure what posessed me to photograph it in plastic. Oops!
